Meet the Fountaine Pajot Isla 40, proud successor of the popular Lucia 40. The newest and smallest of the Fountaine Pajot range, the Isla 40 catamaran is the perfect gateway into this elegant brand of sailing catamarans.

An Olivier Racoupeau Yacht Design and Fountaine Pajot collaboration, she takes inspiration from the innovations of the Elba 45, and sets a new standard for boats of her size. Naturally, the Isla 40 catamaran boasts some of Fountaine Pajot’s most recognizable design elements, including decidedly elegant lines,stylized hull portholes, and inverted bows.

Manageable performance

The Isla 40 catamaran’s wide beam and low center of gravity provide exceptional stability, making it easy to handle and maneuver, making this cruiser an excellent entry for newer sailors . Its efficient sail plan and advanced navigation systems ensure optimal sailing performance

The Isla 40 specs include a sleek hull design and balanced sail plan enabling it to reach speeds of up to 12 knots, making it a fun sailing experience.

Open air ease & comfort

Space aboard the Isla 40 defies her modest size, supported by a generous 21.8-foot beam. The roomy aft cockpit is perfect for gatherings, where a dinette with wraparound seating, plus two additional bench seats easily accommodate your crew for open air dining or conversation. Wide transom steps provide easy entry to the water for swimming, boarding, or using the convenient dinghy davits.

From the rear cockpit or side deck, it’s just a few quick steps to reach the elevated helm station and room for 2 on the cushioned bench seat. The well located helm provides easy communication with the cockpit and ready access to the coachroof and boom.

Forward, sprawling sun bed loungers invite sunbathing, relaxing and informal gatherings under the stars.

Isla 40 layout

The Isla 40 interior sets the stage for ease and comfort with a thoughtfully designed salon, accessed by sliders from the spacious aft cockpit. 360 degree panoramic windows and overhead skylights flood the space with natural light, while a luxurious wraparound lounger with chaise provides total relaxation. The efficient L-shaped galley with double sinks and clean-lined modern cabinetry is well-situated for serving the aft cockpit dining area.

This Fountaine Pajot 40 catamaran is available in several cabin configurations to suit your cruising lifestyle. The 3-cabin (with choice of 2 or 3-baths) Maestro version boasts a voluminous master cabin that occupies the starboard hull – complete with desk area, and separate shower stall and water closet for privacy.

4-cabin/4-bath and 4-cabin/2bath Quatuor versions are also available for larger crews.
